Automatic OPEN WINDOW function
The thermostat has automatically turned on the function of detecting if there’s an open window nearby. The function turns on, when the room temperature suddenly falls for 4.5°C or more and then the thermostat turns off the heating to prevent unnecessary energy loss. The function turns off when the room temperature increases for at least 1.5°C or after 48 minutes when the function activates or if the user presses any of the thermostat’s buttons. The thermostat then returns to its previous working mode. When the function is turned on, a symbol appears on the screen (see on the right).
The thermostat has an option for a key lock function. This means that when the thermostat is locked, pressing any button makes no change to the thermostat function or heating schedule until unlocked. The thermostat, when locked, works normally and regarding present instructions (e.g. Set temperature, heating schedule, …). The default code to unlock the thermostat is 000. You can change this code to your preferences in the advanced thermostat settings. The thermostat can be locked by holding the side button for about 3 seconds. The display shows a blinking lock symbol
You can unlock the thermostat by holding any button on the thermostat for at least half a second. Before you start adding your thermostat to the app, make sure that the receiver is in AP mode (green LED is blinking). If it blinks or is lit blue, it’s in WIFI mode, so put in AP mode by holding the button on the receiver, while it’s turned on (red LED is turned on), for around 3 seconds. Green LED should start blinking, which means the device is now in AP mode and if you search for WIFI networks with your phone, you should see the thermostats SSID name available to connect (e.g. Thermostat- XXXXXXX, where X is the thermostats name). See next pages for more.
Now that you’ve selected the thermostats wifi, the app automatically fills the data from your home network (that you were connected before). Now you only have to enter your home WIFI password and press “Start configuration”.
You can easily set the time and date through the app. Keep your finger on the thermostat name and a drop-down menu appears.
Setting the heating schedule programs for more days at a time
“Direct mode” for debugging or use without the internet
Open the app and in the top left corner press “Direct”. The app opens your phone’s WIFI network search or if it doesn’t, go to settings and WIFI to see all available WIFI networks. Now you should see your thermostats name (e.g.
Thermostat-0BC21A). Select it and connect on it. Return to the app and now you should have access to the thermostat.
What is “Direct mode”?
If the thermostat is in AP mode (green LED is blinking on the receiver) and not connected to any WIFI network, and you can see the thermostats name when searching for WIFI networks on your phone, you can directly connect to the thermostat. The purpose of this mode is to test the functions, debug or just use the thermostat when you’re in proximity of the receiver’s access points name – wifi network or if the internet is not yet available in your house, so you use the thermostat locally only. We do not recommend the use of this mode if not necessary.
