The function turns off when the room temperature increases for at least 1.5°C or after 48 minutes when the function activates or if the user presses any of the thermostat’s buttons. The thermostat then returns to its previous working mode. When the function is turned on, a symbol appears on the screen (see on the right).

Heating Description and warnings, errors
- Antifreezing option: Option is automatically turned on and it makes sure that when the thermostat is turned off and the room temperature falls below 5°C, the thermostat turns on heating and keeps it turned on until 8°C room temperature is achieved.
- When is the heat turned on and turned off:
Thermostat turns off the heating if there’s a damaged temperature sensor or in short circuit. Also, when there’s SET HEAT TEMP – ROOM TEMP ≥ TEMPERATURE DIFF, set as “db” in advanced thermostat settings, the thermostat will stop with heating; - Batteries and low battery warning:
When replacing the batteries, always use new alkaline batteries and not rechargeable ones. When the low battery symbol appears, these will work on average for about 30 days. The battery life is dependent on your use of the thermostat and the battery quality itself. Inca se you won’t be using the thermostat for a longer time, remove the batteries to prevent unwanted damage in case of battery leakage and to increase the battery life. - Temperature shown on the thermostat is not correct:
Make sure your temperature sensor correction is set to “0” in advanced thermostat settings under value CL. If it’s already to zero then you need to adjust the sensor by setting the CL value + or -, depending on the temperature it should be shown. E.g. the room temperature is 22°C, thermostat shows 24°C, adjust CL to value -2. - Receiver is not working; the connection between devices is not working; internet symbol is blinking:
Check the range between the devices. Move the thermostat, receiver closer to each other; (or your wifi router). Turn the devices on/off (remove power supply!). Check connection between the APP and receiver. Redo the app connecting process.

Adding your Saswell thermostat to the app
Before you start adding your thermostat to the app, make sure that the receiver is in AP mode (green LED is blinking). If it blinks or is lit blue, it’s in WIFI mode, so put in AP mode by holding the button on the receiver, while it’s turned on (red LED is turned on), for around 3 seconds. Green LED should start blinking, which means the device is now in AP mode and if you search for WIFI networks with your phone, you should see the thermostats SSID name available to connect (e.g. Thermostat- XXXXXXX, where X is the thermostats name). See next pages for more.
- Take your smartphone
- Turn on GPS location
- Allow all permissions if asked
- CONNECT to your local WIFI network, which has access to the internet. The WIFI network must be secured with a password, made out of simple characters!
- Open the Thermostat app and login with your information
- Click on „+“ in the top right corner
- Now click „FIND DEVICE“.
- Now go to WIFI and select and connect on your THERMOSTATS WIFI network, e.g. „Thermostat-0590AD“. The phone may say there is no internet available, but you connect anyway as it’s not needed now as it’s only for communication between the app and the receiver.
- Now return to the app and on the top you should see the app filled in your home WIFI network name and
- now only enter your home WIFI network password (Please enter your Router password) and
- Press CONFIG.
The pairing process then starts, which lasts in most cases around 10-60 seconds, and on the receiver LED indicator should turn from blinking green to blue and when the connection is established, it should stay lit in blue color.
iOS example
Now that you’ve selected the thermostats wifi, the app automatically fills the data from your home network (that you were connected before). Now you only have to enter your home WIFI password and press “Start configuration”.
Setting the temperature
Setting the time and date
You can easily set the time and date through the app. Keep your finger on the thermostat name and a drop-down menu appears.
Setting the heating schedule programs
Setting the heating schedule programs for more days at a time
“Direct mode” for debugging or use without the internet
Open the app and in the top left corner press “Direct”. The app opens your phone’s WIFI network search or if it doesn’t, go to settings and WIFI to see all available WIFI networks. Now you should see your thermostats name (e.g.
Thermostat-0BC21A). Select it and connect on it. Return to the app and now you should have access to the thermostat.
What is “Direct mode”?
If the thermostat is in AP mode (green LED is blinking on the receiver) and not connected to any WIFI network, and you can see the thermostats name when searching for WIFI networks on your phone, you can directly connect to the thermostat. The purpose of this mode is to test the functions, debug or just use the thermostat when you’re in proximity of the receiver’s access points name – wifi network or if the internet is not yet available in your house, so you use the thermostat locally only. We do not recommend the use of this mode if not necessary.
