The T32-VNP Atlas has been designed to be an attractive, highly reliable and easy-to-use thermostat. By taking time to read and understand this User Manual, you can take advantage of the many features offered in this premium product. To simplify use, the T32-VNP only displays information relevant to the current mode of operation. When adjustments are required, the thermostat will display additional information or functional icons. Based on the thermostat configuration, some information and icons may not be displayed. The illustration below shows all the LCD segments and icons along with abbreviated definitions.
When in standard operating mode, the thermostat has four buttons that are used for all basic functions.
MODE CONFIGURATIONS
Your contractor can configure the thermostat with different mode selections based on your preference and the type of HVAC equipment. By pressing the button, you Mode have the following choices
MODES FOR CONVENTIONAL HEATING AND COOLING EQUIPMENT (GAS/ELECTRIC)
MODES FOR HEAT PUMP AND DUAL FUEL EQUIPMENT
When the thermostat is placed in the EHeat (Emergency Heat) mode, only the auxiliary heat source is used and the heat pump is locked out.

CHANGING THE HEAT OR COOL SET TEMPERATURE
Manual Heat/Cool Mode
In manual changeover mode, only the Heat or Cool temperature setting will be displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the display along with the room temperature. To change the setting, press either the
UP or DOWN button. The displayed room temperature will be replaced by the set temperature which then can be increased or decreased by pressing the UP or DOWN button. Once the setting is changed, the
thermostat will once again display the room temperature and set temperature. The example on the right shows the thermostat in the Heat mode.
CHANGING THE HEAT OR COOL SET TEMPERATURE
Auto Mode
In auto changeover mode, the Heat and Cool temperature settings alternate on the screen about every three seconds. To change the Heat or Cool setting, press the UP or DOWN button. The displayed room temperature will be replaced by the current Heat Set temperature and then the Cool Set temperature. When the Heat Set or The cool Set temperature is displayed, press the UP or DOWN arrow to change the setting. Once the change has been made the thermostat will revert back to displaying the room temperature and Heat and Cool temperature settings will again alternate on the screen.

COMPRESSOR TIME DELAY
Your thermostat has a built-in 4-minute time delay to prevent the air conditioner or heat pump from short cycling. When the short cycle timer is active and the thermostat is calling, the symbol next to Cool
LOW BATTERY INDICATION
Your thermostat can be wired using battery power or both battery power and 24 volts from the HVAC equipment. If the Low Batt
FRESH AIR VENTILATION
Your thermostat may have been set up to provide Fresh Air Ventilation. Fresh Air Ventilation is designed to improve residential indoor air quality by introducing fresh, outside air through a 2-wire, power-open / spring-closed motorized intake damper controlled by the thermostat. The thermostat automatically controls the amount of fresh air required each hour based on ASHRAE 62.2 – 2013 Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Standard. When Fresh Air Ventilation has been activated FAV will be displayed on the screen. When the fresh air damper is open FAV will blink.
OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
If the thermostat has been fitted with an outside air sensor it will be displayed on the screen and alternate with the Heat Set and/or Cool Set settings. The outdoor temperature will display the word Outside.
