Congratulations on the purchase of your new thermostat! Over 100 years of Honeywell engineering expertise went into the making of this thermostat in an effort to provide you with a more comfortable and convenient living environment.
Setting FAN and SYSTEM Switches
Fan and system settings are controlled by using FAN and SYSTEM switches located on the bottom of the thermostat case.
First set the FAN switch:
Then set the SYSTEM switch:
Em Ht and Aux Ht Indications
Emergency Heat (Em Ht) and Auxiliary Heat (Aux Ht) indications are not available on all models. The ▲ indicator points to either Em Ht or Aux Ht when these modes are active.
Displaying Temperature Setting
NOTE: Your temperature setting can be set anywhere from 40° to 99°F (5° to 37°C).
The temperature setting and the room temperature are shown separately on the digital display. The ▼ indicator points to Set when the temperature setting is displayed and to Room when the room temperature is displayed.
Changing Temperature Setting
You can save energy with this thermostat in the heating mode by lowering the temperature setting 5°F (3°C) to 10°F (5°C) at night and during the day. You can also save energy in the cooling mode by raising the temperature setting during the day before you leave for work or school.
Savings can be as high as 7% to 33% depending on your home, where you live, the number of energy saving periods you choose and your energy savings temperature settings.
If you like saving energy, but would like your thermostat to automatically change the temperature setting, you might want to consider purchasing the Honeywell Chronotherm® Programmable Thermostat. With this thermostat, temperature settings can be conveniently programmed to automatically save energy.
SAVE 7% TO 33% ON ENERGY COSTS
CAUTION
To avoid possible equipment damage, do not operate cooling when outside temperature is below 50°F (10°C). See equipment manufacturer instructions.
Heating or cooling does not come on.
Temperature setting is too warm or cool.
Adjust the temperature by pressing either the ▲ or ▼ key.
