Your life with Nest

Day 1

  • Install and setup
During setup, tell Nest what system you have, and System Match will turn on specific features to keep you comfortable and help you save. Go to nest.com/support if you need help.
  • Remote control
Download the free Nest app for your phone or tablet. Connect the Nest Thermostat to Wi-Fi. Then control your thermostat from anywhere.
  • Teach it well
The Nest Thermostat learns from you. Just change the temperature when you wake up, go to bed, leave the house and come home. After a few days, Nest will do it for you.

Day 7

Changing the temperature just one degree can lower your energy use by up to 5%.

  • Auto-Schedule
By now, the Nest Thermostat has learned the temperatures you like and created a schedule. You can edit your schedule on the thermostat, the Nest app or the web.
  • Nest Leaf
The Leaf appears when you choose a temperature that saves energy.
  • Auto-Away
It automatically adjusts to an energy-saving temperature when you’re away.
Maximize savings with Auto-Away by setting your Away “heat to” temp below 65° and your Away “cool to” temp above 80°.

Day 30

  • Energy History
See when you used heating and cooling and how your adjustments, the weather, and Auto-Away affected your energy use.
  • Home Report
Your monthly Home Report email is packed with energy info and tips to help you save.

Day 90

Going on vacation? Start saving money the minute you walk out the door by manually turning on Away.

  • Seasons change
When you switch from heat to cool or vice versa, the Nest Thermostat will learn a new schedule.
  • Airwave
Lower your AC bill. Airwave cuts AC runtime automatically and still keeps you cool when home humidity isn’t too high.
  • Heat • Cool
Set a temperature range and it automatically switches between heating and cooling to keep you comfortable.
