THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION AND OPERATION

WIFI SIGNAL STRENGTH CHECKING
Use your mobile to check if the WiFi signal strength is stable or not. To guarantee optimal communication, we recommend not exceeding a distance of 30 m

ATTENTION!

• Disconnect the power supply from your home, open the boiler panel, and connect the signal cable and receiver to the main.
• Make sure that the position of the thermostat is within the coverage radius of the WiFi signal.

NOTICE
The level of WiFi coverage will directly influence the possibility of thermostat operation, so make sure you have good coverage and a strong signal.

TWO INSTALLATIONS MODES

MODE A
When the boiler signal cable reaches the WIFI coverage area The receiver needs to be installed in the boiler signal area, the transmitter can be placed where you want.

Open the receiver’s panel. Pry the buckle with a flattened screwdriver.

The thermostat needs to connect with a signal wire. The terminal is at the backboard, below the wiring diagram for your reference.

THERMOSTAT’S APPEARANCE

Menu button
Toggles between programming mode and temporary pause mode. Once switched on, and in programming mode, the short press of the button alternates between programmed operation and manual operation. Pressing the button for more than seconds activates the programming setting mode, press to adjust, press confirm and exit.

Time setting button
In operating mode, briefly press the button to enter the temperature and time setting screen: then press the button for 3s to enter the time setting, and press the button or button again to set the year, month, day, and time. Press A to set the minutes. Press to confirm and exit, briefly press the button again to enter the time setting and press A to set the time. Press to confirm and exit, briefly press the button again to enter the week setting mode, press to set the week, and Press to confirm and exit.

U Power / Confirm button
In the setting mode (program setting mode, menu setting mode, time setting mode) press briefly to confirm and exit. In normal operation mode, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn off. When you are off and want to turn it on, briefly press the button to turn it on. When the thermostat is in power saving mode (display off), briefly press the (half a second) the button, to turn it on.

OPERATION OF THE OPEN WINDOW RECOGNITION MODE:
When the ambient temperature drops 4.5 degrees or more in 4 minutes, the window opening detection mode is automatically activated and the heating stops. When the room temperature rises by 1.5 degrees, the window opening function is automatically deactivated. You can manually restore to the previous operating mode by pressing any key. In the window opening detection mode, when the temperature starts to rise or the window opening detection function is activated for 48 minutes, the previous operation mode is automatically restored.

MENU SETTINGS CONFIGURATION
In standby mode, press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds, to enter the first screen of the setup menu. Press to adjust the parameters. Press the button again to enter the following setting, and press the button to confirm and return to standby mode. If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, the thermostat will automatically exit setup mode and return to standby mode.

PROGRAM SETTING

Heating schedule plan (Factory default program setting)

Enter heating program.

In programming execution mode, press and hold the button for more than seconds to access the time modification, select the time you wish to set (press to set the time to modify, select the program of 7 equal days, days custom, Monday to Friday same/independent, Saturday and Sunday equal/independent), press the button again to enter the programming mode to select the first mode, press to set. Press the button to confirm and return to the selected operating mode.
If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, the thermostat setting menu will close automatically and the thermostat will return to operating mode. If the button is pressed for more than 4 seconds, the DEF indicator will flash times, and all the parameters set will return to the factory default settings and the initial settings will be restored.

• Press the button once. The display will show the Mon indicator (indicating the Monday program). The currently scheduled start times for the first warm-up period and the currently set temperature (flashing) are also displayed, while the icon will indicate the setting for the first-period program (Wake up).
• Press to change the temperature shown to the temperature you wish to set for the first heating period program.
• Repeat the previous operation and set the rest periods as desired.

OPERATING DESCRIPTION

INTELLIGENT FUNCTION
The thermostat has an intelligent recovery function that brings your room temperature to the set temperature at exactly the pre-set time by turning on the Heating earlier. Set the desired temperature in the “Configuration menu setting” at Point 8 ES Mode.

ANTIFREEZE FUNCTION OPTION
On mode (heating mode) The thermostat will stop heating when the room sensor breaks or the communication between transmitter and receiver is cut off. When the temperature set in the thermostat is ≥ that the room temperature and the difference between the set temperature and the measured temperature is ¿ 0.5 ° C, the thermostat will stop heating. Set at Point 9 PP Mode.

FUNCTION HYSTERESIS (DB)
On mode (heating mode). The thermostat will stop heating when the room sensor does not work or the communication between transmitter and receiver is cut off. When the temperature set in the thermostat is ≥ the room temperature, and the difference between the set temperature and the measured temperature is ≥ 0.5 ° C, the thermostat will stop heating. Select ON to activate the Intelligent recovery function in the “Configuration menu setting” at Point 5 b mode.

FORCED OFF FUNCTION
Allows the boiler to be switched off using the receiver by pressing the control button for 5 seconds. In this way, the boiler will stop working independently of the orders and programming of the thermostat and the app.

PAIRING THERMOSTAT WITH RECEIVER

Pairing receiver.
In the off mode, press the power button for more than 3 seconds, the green indicator light will turn on and remain on, indicating that the receiver is in pairing mode. If pairing occurs correctly, or if you exit pairing mode manually, the yellow light will turn off.

To enter pairing mode.
In standby mode, press for 3 seconds until “RF2” is displayed. Then press briefly to enter pairing mode and – – – will appear, which means that the code command is being sent. 8 the pairing is correct, the number “01” will be displayed, and if the pairing does not take place, after 10 seconds the thermostat will exit pairing mode and return to standby.

POWER INDICATOR OPTIONS (RED)

• 1 pulse: Receptor will turn OFF
• 5 seconds: continuous pulse, the WIFI will disconnect its pairing

POWER INDICATOR OFF

• 1 pulse: receptor will turn ON, and display a red light
• 5 seconds continuous pulse, “Forced OFF function” will start

ERROR MESSAGES

Error notice

• Low battery alarm: The low battery warning signal flashes when the battery is low, with a voltage less than 2,3V.
• Room temperature: if the integrated temperature sensor is broken or short-circuited, the thermostat will show “room ERR”

With the acquisition of this “smart” product of the Garza Smart range, you open a world of possibilities when controlling multiple aspects of the operation of your home from a single application or through voice instructions when, how and where you want.
Download and install of Garza Smart App
Download Garza Smart App from Google Play or Apple Store and install it on your phone or tablet (Minimum required Android 4.0 or iOS 8.0 or higher). Once installed, you must create a user account. For this you must select your geographical area, and as a user you can use your phone number or an email account. You will receive a numeric key by SMS (if you registered with mobile) or by email (if you registered with an e-mail), which you must enter in the application to continue. Next, enter an access password for vour user, which should have between 6 and 20 characters.

App configuration and device synchronization
Once you access the home screen of Garza Smart App, you must create a “Device Family”, and enable the locations where they will be installed. Make sure that the phone or tablet where you have installed the application are connected to your WiFi network and that the place where you are has good coverage. NOTE: Works only with 2.4GHz WiFi, make sure your phone or tablet is not connected to the 5GH network of your router. If you can not pair the equipment with the 2.4GH network, disable the 5GHz network to perform the pairing, and then activate it again. In case of difficulties to carry out this process, contact your telephone operator. Make sure you have smart WiFi or smart channel selection SCS (Smart Channel Selector).To synchronize the device with your family, you must connect it to the electrical network and enter the pairing mode by pressing the control button for 5 seconds. The indicator light will begin to flash rapidly (green), and the pairing mode is activated. Now, select in the application the type of device you want to add by clicking on the “+” icon in the upper right corner. Select the option of “thermostat”. A search confirmation screen will appear and you must press the “Accept” button. The new screen will ask you to enter your WiFi password and accept by pressing the button. At this time the application will search for your new device and add it to your family at the end of the configuration. If after the search the device was not linked to the application, repeat the steps above. If after several attempts you have not achieved the pairing, contact your internet operator to verify that the configuration of your router is correct to be able to link a device at 2.4GHz. Once you have added your device to the family, you can access it in a control screen, from which you can assign a name, manage the different functions and create different scenarios, through the App from anywhere in the world. To share the device with the rest of the family members who have the Garza Smart App installed, you must access the option “Family Management”, click on the family you want to share, and click on the “Share equipment” option. Once you have selected the devices you want to share, you must accept them and automatically appear in the App to the family members with whom you share them.

How to link your Garza Smart devices with Google Assistant

• Download and install Google Home. In the drop-down menu on the left, select the “home control” option. Select the “Add devices” option and confirm the “Garza Smart” or “Tuya Smart” App.
• Confirm your region, enter your Garza Smart account and password in the new window and click “Link now”.
• In this step you will be asked to assign the devices to the different rooms, and once you finish you will see all the devices in the “Home control” interface.
• From this moment, you will be able to control your devices through voice commands.

Amazon Alexa

How to link your Garza Smart devices with Amazon Alexa

• Download and install Alexa. In the “Home” menu select the “Skill” option. Search “Garza Smart” or ‘Tuya Smart” in the search bar and activate it.
• Confirm your region, enter your Garza Smart account and password (not Alexa’s) in the new window, and click “Link now”. Click on “Authorize” in the new window that will be displayed.
• Click on “Discover devices”. It will take a few moments for the system to pair with each of them. At this time, your Garza Smart devices will be linked with Alexa.
• Then you can access your devices on the Alexa Smart Home page. By clicking on the “Groups” option, you can assign different groups with the desired name.
