The EKWCTRAN1V3 is intended for regulating the room temperature by setting the desired target temperature for the activation of actuators in heating/cooling operations. Every other use is considered not intended; the manufacturer cannot be held liable for unintended use.

  • The electrical installation must be performed according to the current national VDE regulations as well as according to the regulations of your local electric power utility company, by an authorized and trained electrician, and in a de-energized state.
  • Only an authorized electrician may open the device. It may only be opened in a de-energized state.
  • only use the device if it is in a perfect state.
  • Ensure that children do not play with this device. Children must be monitored if necessary.

SETTING

Installation position
External heat sources will impact the thermostat’s performance.

Protective cover
Installation
Mount the thermostat directly on the wall or on a flush-type box. Make the electric connection as shown in figure 3. The thermostat can be used in heating and cooling systems. If you want to block the cooling function, connect the lower left contacts to each other in a de-energized state.

Setback temperature
The reduction of 2 K can be activated to L/L1, e. g. by an external timer.

Dismantling

  1. Switch off the voltage supply.
  2. Remove the wiring.
  3. Take off the thermostat and dispose of it properly.

Target value regulator
Set the target temperature by rotating the target value regulator

Target value calibration

  1. Remove the target value regulator.
  2. Set the target value correction: An alignment to the room temperature is possible between – 2 K … +2 K.

Optional – Limiting the temperature range
Insert and set the limiters for minimum and maximum temperature.
