Installation Steps
- Disconnect electrical power at main fuse or circuit box.
- Remove Thermostat Cover from the thermostat base.
- Place the wall cover plate on back of the thermostat base, then connect wires to the thermostat as shown in wiring diagram (Without pushing on knob or triangular bimetal element).
- Push lead wires into junction box, then secure wall cover plate and thermostat base to junction box with screws provided.
- Mount thermostat cover to the thermostat base and set to desired setting.
- Turn on electrical power
Installation Tips
Wall Locations
The thermostat should be installed approximately 4 to 5 feet above the floor. Select an area with average temperature and good air circulation
Do not install thermostat in locations:
- Close to hot or cold air ducts
- That are in direct sunlight
- With an outside wall behind the thermostat
- In areas that do not require conditioning
- Where there are dead spots or drafts (in corners or behind doors)
- Where there might be concealed chimneys or pipes.
