Functional description
The surface-mounting room thermostat serves the individual temperature control. It is designed for fan coil units with two- and four-pipe systems.
Functional description surface-mounting room thermostat for two-pipe systems (item no. 1152064)
The surface-mounting room thermostat for two-pipe systems features:
- a 230 V fan drive (3 speeds)
- a 0-10 V control for heating or cooling
- a two point control for an additional heating
- two inputs (temperature sensor, key card)
(see also: “Illustr. 5: Connection diagram 1152064“) With the help of an external sensor, the surface-mounting room thermostat for two-pipe systems detects whether the system is in heating and cooling operation. This information is shown on the display. Switching between heating and cooling has to be carried out manually.
Functional description of surface-mounting room
thermostat for four-pipe systems (item no. 1152065) The surface-mounting room thermostat for four-pipe systems features:
- a 230 V fan drive (3 speeds)
- a 0-10 V control for heating
- a 0-10 V control for cooling
- a two-point control for additional heating
- two inputs (temperature sensor, key card)
(see also: “Illustr. 6: Connection diagram 1152065“) With the help of an internal sensor, the surface-mounting room thermostat for four-pipe systems compares the actual and the nominal temperature and automatically switches between heating and cooling. The current operating mode is shown on the display.

Installation
General installation advice
The room thermostat should be installed at a location where a good circulation of air is guaranteed. If possible, the room thermostat should be mounted onto an inner wall at a height of 140 cm to 170 cm. Please make sure that the room thermostat is not affected by influenced by heat or cold sources (e.g. sunlight, cold outer walls). This is the only way to achieve a high measuring accuracy.
Wall attachment
- Loosen the two screws at the bottom of the room thermostat and remove the operating device from the base plate.
- Screw the base plate horizontally onto the wall. Use the drilling jig in the base plate for this purpose.
- Suspend the operating device into the base plate from thetop.
- Fix the base plate and the operating device with the help ofthe two screws removed under point
Commissioning
Cable the room thermostat according to the respective connectiondiagram (see “Illustr. 5: Connection diagram 1152064“ and “Illustr.

The room thermostat is calibrated when leaving the factory.
If the room thermostat cannot be positioned in such a way that the room temperature is measured without being influenced by external disturbance factors, the deviations can be compensated by modifying the settings. The value measured at a cold outer wall would, for instance, be lower than the actual room temperature. In this case, the value can be corrected upwards. The displayed temperature can be increased/decreased by up to +/- 4 °C/F compared to the measured temperature. |
