Troubleshooting
What does ‘No RF’ on the display mean?
This means the thermostat has lost contact with the rest of your Hive system and can no longer communicate with your boiler. This may be due to loss of power, being moved out of range or it could be due to radio interference. If this happens your thermostat is not able to control your heating or hot water but you can still switch your heating and hot water on and off manually by pressing the buttons on the Hive box beside your boiler.
How do I change the batteries?
LOW BATTS on the display means your thermostat’s batteries are low and need changing for two new AA batteries. If the batteries go completely flat your thermostat will stop working and the message CHG BATTS will appear.
To change the batteries:
- Press the two buttons on the sides of the thermostat and
slide it up and off the wall. - Remove the batteries by turning the thermostat over and
pulling the ribbon. - Add new batteries, taking care to tuck the ribbon underneath them, and then replace the thermostat on the wall.
Recycling
Your thermostat and receiver should not be disposed of with household waste, as they are electrical and electronic products. Your thermostat also contains batteries, which again must not be disposed of with household waste. Please recycle them, you can check with your Local Authority for recycling facilities in your area.
