Safety Notes

  • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • The product is intended for indoor use only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and over-heating, and only use it in adry environment.
  • Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the reach of children!
  • Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
  • Connect the product only to a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
  • Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping hazard.

  • Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.

  • The product is voltage-free only when unplugged. Do not connect multiple products in a series.
  • Devices with electronic power supplies (for example, televisions or high-voltage LED lights) do not constitute resistive loads.
  • They can generate in-rush currents of over 100 A. The switching of such loads leads to premature wear of the actuator.

Introduction

The Universal Thermostat can be used universally in almost all areas where temperature regulation in heating or cooling is required. It switches connected devices (such as fans, fan heaters, and terrariums) on or off, depending on the measured temperature. The switch-on and switch-off temperatures can be easily set via a digital display.The choice of switch-on and switch-off temperatures allows an air conditioning unit or a heating unit to be controlled in different ways. The set temperatures arestored, even if the device is unplugged or the mains power cuts out (14-day backup memory).

Getting Started

Place the temperature sensor in the location where the temperature is to be measured. If necessary, fasten the sensor to the location with a cable tie.

Manual operation
You can switch the device on and off manually.To do this, press the MAN/AUT button to switch to manual operation. Man is shown in the display. You can now switch the device off with the -/OFF button or on with the +/ON button. You can checks the selected setting in the display; Off or On will be shown there. To switch back to automatic mode, press the MAN/AUT button again.

Automatic operation

In automatic operation, you need to set a switch-on and switch-off temperature. The device is switched on or off when the respective temperature is reached. Proceed as follows:
 Check whether the Universal Thermostat is in automatic mode. To do this, press the MAN/AUT button; Auto should be shown in the display.If this is not the case, press the MAN/AUT button once more.
 To set the switch-on temperature, press and hold the -/OFF and +/ON buttons for about 3 seconds at the same time. The temperature(for example, 10.0°C) flashes in the display, and On is shown. Now set the desired switch-on temperature. To decrease the value, press -/OFF, to increase it press +/ON.
 Once the desired temperature is set, press
the MAN/AUT button again and now set the switch-off temperature using the -/OFF and+/ON buttons. The temperature flashes in the display, and Off is shown.
 Press the MAN/AUT button to save the settings.

Cooling mode
If the switch-on temperature is higher than the switch-off temperature, the Universal Thermostat is in cooling mode. Cool is shown in the display. Example: Switch-on temperature20°C / switch-off temperature16°C If the switch-on temperature is exceeded, the Universal Thermostat switches on. If the temperature drops below the switch-off temperature, the Universal Thermostat switches off.

Heating mode
If the switch-on temperature is lower than the switch-off temperature, the Universal Thermostat is in heating mode. Heat is shown in the display. Example: Switch-on temperature16°C / switch-off temperature20°C If the temperature drops below the switch-on temperature, the Universal Thermostat switches on. If the switch-off temperature is exceeded, the Universal Thermostat switches off.

Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
