HOW IT WORKS WITH ALEXA
To discover devices, simply say “Alexa, discover devices” to your Ecobee thermostat. You can finish this step later if you are not currently in close proximity to your thermostat. Success! The ecobee skill and the ecobee plus skill are now activated on your ecobee thermostat, which has an integrated Alexa.
HOW TO CONNECT TO ALEXA
- Enter “ecobee” by tapping Skills & Games, then the magnifying glass symbol.
- From the list of skills, select ecobee, and then select Enable.
- Once the skill is activated, say “Alexa, discover devices.”
HOW ALEXA CONNECTS WITH THERMOSTAT
- your smartphone’s Alexa app should be opened. Select Add Device > Thermostat > Next > Continue > Enable to Use by tapping the three-line icon.
- Register with your account. Click Allow. Tap the back symbol or the X in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Click Discover My Devices, then select Set Up Device, skip, and finish.
HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERY
- On the rear of your Ecobee thermostat, look for the battery compartment.
- Old batteries should be taken out of the compartment.
- Place the fresh battery within the space.
- Secure the battery compartment’s lid with screws.
HOW TO WAKE UP ECOBEE THERMOSTAT
When you want your Ecobee to wake up, you must: On the thermostat, choose Menu, and then choose Schedule. Tap on the activity you want to change, then choose the day you want to adjust. Choose the time you want to start, then save.
