Capacitive Touch Thermostat Quick Start-Up

The basic steps for operating your Air Conditioner/Heat Pump/Heat Strip (hereinafter referred to as “unit”) with the Capacitive Touch Thermostat (hereinafter referred to as “CT Thermostat”) are described in this User’s Guide. For more detailed information on modes of operation and special features, refer to the Operating Instructions Manual.

CAPACITIVE TOUCH THERMOSTAT

Fan Mode Setting

Press the DOMETIC-CAPACITIVE-TOUCH-FIG.6/ Mode button until the fan mode is active. Press the DOMETIC-CAPACITIVE-TOUCH-FIG.5 button to cycle through the fan speed options Low, High, and Auto.DOMETIC-CAPACITIVE-TOUCH-FIG.2

Mode of Operation

A mode is an operation that can be performed by the CT Thermostat.
Press theDOMETIC-CAPACITIVE-TOUCH-FIG.6 / Mode button to cycle through the available modes. All CT Thermostats have Cool and Furnace modes. Select models will have an additional mode, either Heat Pump or Heat Strip. The active mode will display on the LCD.
To change the set-point, press the button to increase the set point and the button to decrease the set point.DOMETIC-CAPACITIVE-TOUCH-FIG.3
Inside Temperature
To display the Inside Temperature, the CT Thermostat must be in the OFF Mode. Press either the or button to display the Inside Temperature.

Special Features

  • Auto Fan
    See Operating Instructions for more Information on this special feature.
  • LCD Error Code
    When the system determines that one of the faults listed below has occurred an error code will be displayed in the LCD.

Error Codes:

  • E1 Loss of communication between CT Thermostat and module board. LCD will cycle between E1 and previous mode setting. System will shut down.
  • E2 Open circuit or out of range Indoor Temperature Sensor. Heating and cooling operation will be locked out. Fan operation can continue to operate.
  • E3 Shorted Indoor Temperature Sensor. Heating and cooling operation will be locked out. Fan operation can continue to operate.
  • E4 Open circuit or out of range Outdoor Temperature Sensor (select models). Heat pump operation will be locked out. Air Conditioner, Fan, and Furnace mode of operation can continue to operate.
  • E5 Open circuit or out of range Freeze Sensor. Air conditioner mode of operation will be locked out, but displays the last temperature set-point.
  • In the unlikely event you experience a system failure, refer to the “SERVICE” section of the Operating Instructions furnished with your unit.
