Installation

Initial inspection

  • Before installation, check that your boiler and the Bosch Control are a compatible combination.

The requirements for installation are:

  • 2-wire EMS BUS connection between the boiler and the Bosch Control.
  • Broadband Internet access via Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g if the App and Internet functionality are used.

Choosing the installation location

A reference room is an area (for example the living room) in which the temperature is measured, which is representative of the whole home and where the most time is spent.

Installation in the reference room
Mount the Bosch Control to an interior wall in the reference room. Ensure there is sufficient free space around the Bosch Control. Bosch-CT-100-Control-Thermostat-fig-5

CAUTION: Bosch Control connection. EMS BUS connections only. Do not connect the Bosch Control to the boiler main power supply connection.
The wall mounting plate can be installed directly onto the wall, for example, in the location of the previous controller.
Ensure when installing on a junction box, that draughts cannot affect the measurement of the room temperature.
If necessary, fill the junction box with insulation material.
Connect the 2-wire thermostat cable (EMS BUS) to the terminals on the wall plate. The connections are not polarity sensitive.Bosch-CT-100-Control-Thermostat-fig-6
