Introduction

TMST is a battery-powered Smart Thermostat. It is designed to be incorporated into household heating and cooling systems for home environment control. The Thermostat can be operated manually using the LCD screen and buttons and can be accessed remotely via your Blaupunkt Q series.

Wiring of the Thermostat should be performed by a certified technician with proper equipment to ensure safety. Please note that some heating systems operate with 230V – danger of an electric shock. Disconnect the system from power supply before starting installation by switching off the fuses or main switch. Prevent the system from being switched on again.   1. LCD Display

    • The ZigBee network connectivity iconBlaupunkt-TMST-S1-Smart -hermostat-FIG.3 will be displayed when the Thermostat has joined the ZigBee network and is within signal range.
    • The current mode will be displayed when the Up, Down, or Mode button is pressed.

    • The temperature can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit format.
  2. Low Battery LED Indicator
    The LED flashes when low battery voltage is detected
  3. Test / ZigBee Network Button
    • Press the button once to: Send a supervision signal with temperature and set point info.
    • Press and hold for 10 seconds then release to reset the Thermostat.
  4. Down Button
    Press the button to change the set point.
  5. Up Button
    Press the button to change set point.
  6. Mode Button
    Press the button to change the Thermostat mode.
  7. Away Button
    Press the button to change the Thermostat to Away Mode.

    Press both latches on the back cover to remove the cover if needed.

Network Setup

Joining the Q series Network
Please follow the steps below to join the Thermostat into Blaupunkt Home Connect Server.

  1. Put the Q series HUB in receiving mode.
  2. Press and hold the Test / ZigBee network button for 10 seconds.
  3. Wait for several seconds for the Thermostat to join the Q HUB.

Removing the Device from the Q HUB (Factory Reset)

  1. Press and hold the function button for 10 seconds, then release the button to reset the Thermostat
  2. Upon reset, the Thermostat will clear the current ZigBee network settings and transmit a signal to the Q HUB to remove itself.

Setting up your HVAC system
Press and hold the Mode button for 10 seconds to enter the setting mode. The time indicator on the LCD display will begin to flash:

  1. Use the Up and Down buttons to select the time and use the Mode button to proceed to the next option. Navigate to: HVAC type and select the appropriate setting. Type 1: General Gas/Electric HVAC system. Type 2: HVAC system with Reversing Valve which operates during Cooling (Heat Pump “O”). Type 3: HVAC system with Reversing Valve which operates during Heating (Heat Pump “B”)
  2. Set heating installation to the ON/OFF protocol.
    Most heating systems use their own protocol and also have the universal ON/OFF protocol. Please refer to your heating system manual or installer to put your heating system in the ON/OFF protocol setting.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Go to https://eu.bphomeconnect.com;
  2. Log in with your Username and Password;
  3. Go to Setting and enter your Master Code (standard: 1111);
  4. Go to Setting Device.Blaupunkt-TMST-S1-Smart -hermostat-FIG.11
  5. Click the + button to add an accessoryBlaupunkt-TMST-S1-Smart -hermostat-FIG.12 .
  6. Add the Thermostat to your Q Hub as described before.
  7. When the Thermostat has been added successfully it will show on the devices list:Blaupunkt-TMST-S1-Smart -hermostat-FIG.13
  8. Click on the three dots on the right and you will enter the Thermostat Settings Screen.Blaupunkt-TMST-S1-Smart -hermostat-FIG.14
  9. Here you can change the Zone and Name. And chose to Bypass the accessory (standard this is set to Off).

  12. Click on the three dots on the right-hand side.

  14. Here the current temperature is shown and with the + and – you can change the desired temperature. Settings for Heating and Cooling can be adjusted here and the modes can be changed.
  15. On the right-hand side, you can chose switch the Fan on (if you use this feature) and to change the Schedule.
  16. Click on Schedule in the bottom right-hand side of the screen.

  18. Here you can create a schedule according to your needs. To do this, click on the settings wheel icon Blaupunkt-TMST-S1-Smart -hermostat-FIG.19.

  20. You have now successfully installed and programmed your Blaupunkt Smart Thermostat!

Please also use the Secure4Home App to easily access the thermostat and take control of your Home Temperature via your smartphone. This allows you to come home in a warm home, or make sure that you turned down the heating when you leave the home.
